The thing that intrigues me with this stretched out P.I.T.B is was it planned or did they "forget about the time".
The early space jam and the jam before the reprise are very nice.
It seems like many of the P.I.T.B don't get much mention in the comments board during this time period perhaps because they played it almost every show but really if we want to talk about a tune that evolved over time any 74 P.I.T.B is so much more intricate and complex then the original versions they used to burn thru at breakneck speed.
(although I love the vocal harmonies from the Pig Pen era)
In the later years I did really love shows where they would go in and out of Playing or hit the Playin' Reprise as a coda of a three night run.
GOD bless the Dead!!!
DAYBREAK ON THE LAND.

Shakedown>Crazy fingers to open Set two.
a Sunday Samson & Delilah, Uncle Johns
By the time they hit 'Playin' I was toast.
Brent with the first Hey Jude reprise.
Truckin>Comes a Time>LOVELIGHT.
Johnny B /baby blue --as I looked out over as much of North America as I had ever seen with two feet on land and my HEAD in the clouds.
As far as the 46 minutes of-- P.I.T.B-- I was thinking maybe it was a Seastones sandwich or someone was counting in the set break. So it was a nice surprise indeed.
I do get what -Space Jogger- is saying that there are tighter more overall satisfying versions but still I counted at least three ovations inside the song itself on the available IA Matrix.
